Lumba Sumba trek route is the recently discovered trekking trail of Nepal. The Lumba Sumba Pass trek connects the Kanchenjunga region and Makalu region, passing through the Kanchenjunga Conservation Area and the Makalu Barun National Park. This trek covers the Lumba Sumba Peak (5,200m) in between the massifs of Makalu and Kangchenjunga. Trekking in this region offers the panoramic views of the Kanchenjunga, Makalu and Kumbhakarna peaks. Some of the main highlights of this trek are spectacular Himalayan landscapes, the cultural heritage of different ethnic groups like monasteries, chhortens, temples, and prayer wheels, also the rich endangered wildlife. The Arun Valley, Tamor and Arun river systems can be the other attractions for trekkers.
