Lobuche Peak (also spelled Lobuje) is one of the attractive mountains and is a popular destination for mountaineers in Nepal. Situated just above the Lobuche village in the Khumbu region, the region consists of two different summits through East(6,119 m) and West(6,145 m). Both of the summits are recognized for their own purpose and are connected through a knife-edge ridge. The East peak is known to be for trekking and the West for an expedition. The East peak resembles a dark rocky triangle peak( like a pyramid) that extends over the moraines of the Khumbu Glacier forming the South ridge. The peak dramatically rises over the village and is identifiable. East peak is also considered to be easier and is climbed far more frequently than the West peak. This expedition passes through various Sherpa villages, and monasteries with the views of the great Mt. Everest, Mt. Amadablam, Mt. Pumori and Mt. Lhotse. The whole expedition offers magnificent views and an unforgettable experience.
