Chulu West peak is situated in the small valley of Manang “A typical Tibetan Buddhist Town”. At an altitude of 6410m, this peak is one of the most spectacular Himalaya for climbing trips in the Annapurna region. Chu Lo west peak is a part of Chulo Massif and also a part of Manang Himal, which is included in the Damodar Himal. It is also known as the highest peak among the other Chulus in the Manang Himalayan range. The eastern limit of the peak runs from Chako Peak (6687m) by the Hunlung Khola, Nar Khola, and Phu Khola and bounds by the Marsyangdi Khola and Mesokanta La in the south. This region is regarded as one of the best for the striking mountain views of the Fishtail, Mt. Manaslu, Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Annapurna I, II, III, South, Tent Peaks and the natural scenes of the monsoon rain forest and rhododendron forest. The trail passes through Thorang La pass, Manang valley, and base camp followed by the North-West ridge that leads to the peak. It is one of the challenging peaks for climbers and trekkers as it is considered as a technical trekking peak which means it requires mountaineering skill.
