Gokyo Trek

The Gokyo Trek is one of the most beautiful treks in the Everest Region which takes you to the Exotic Khumbu region to witness some of the world’s highest lakes with freshwater framework system, the gigantic high mountains of the World, Glacial Valleys and The Sagarmatha National Park which is rich in flora and faunas that will mesmerize you throughout. The Gokyo Village at the height of 4,790m is also one of the major attractions of this trek.

You will get to see the panoramic views of giant mountains like Mt Everest, Mt Cho Oyu, Mt Lhotse, Mt Makalu and the largest glacier in Nepal the Ngozumpa Glacier. The mesmerizing view of the ice edge between Gyachung and Cho Oyu in the Khumbu Region is equally eye-pleasing. There are as many as 19 lakes in the region. The first one is Longpongo at the height of 4690m followed by the second lake, Taboche Tsho with shiny turquoise blue water. The third lake sits beside the Gokyo Village and Cho Oyu right in front.

The Gokyo Trek starts from Lukla along the Dudh Koshi River through the dense green forests and villages to take you to the heart of the mountains. This trek is the best choice for adventure seekers.
