Lower Dolpo Trek passing through the western hills of Nepal offers an outstanding trekking experience. Introduced in the year 1982, the area is one of the popular trekking destinations for trekkers. Lower Dolpo Trek is situated in the remote, and isolated area and is also known as the "hidden treasure of Nepal". It is surrounded by the rich flora and fauna and passes through the beautiful villages, and deep gorges leading to the 'Phoksundo Lake'. Lower Dolpo Trek crosses over the three high passes Kangmara La (5,115m), Numa La (5,159m), and Baga La at (5,190m). The Lower Dolpo Trek is a semi-deserted region with a densely forested path filled with pine, rhododendrons, bamboo and juniper trees along with endangered animals like snow leopard, Himalayan musk deer, blue sheep, mountain goat, jackal and many more. The area is surrounded by Bon Po religious settlements and leads through the ancient Tibetan salt caravan path. The main attraction of this trek lies in the breathtaking sceneries.
